Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform pipe fabrication welds, in-service welds, tie-in welds, and hot taps on steel natural gas and products pipelines up to 42" O.D.
  • •Mobilize, operate, and maintain heavy excavation equipment, including excavation frequently on in-service natural gas pipelines.
  • •Read and interpret engineering construction blueprints; scope, plan, estimate, track costs, and schedule work and resources.
  • •Handle coating and integrity work: inspect coating, remove coating, surface preparation, calibrate and maintain holiday detector, and perform ultrasonic thickness examinations.
  • •Execute pressure testing and pipeline field tasks including pressure tests, meter tube cleaning, pig launcher/receiver repairs, CP test points, evacuate/purge/loading for hot work, and encirclement sleeve/valve fitting installation.

Key Requirements

  • •Intermediate or above welding skill level and competency welding to API Standard 1104.
  • •5 years +/- pipeline experience.
  • •Must be able to read engineering construction blueprints and related documentation.
  • •Must have/keep a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain and maintain DOT operational qualifications for natural gas and products pipeline welding.
  • •Strong math, communication, and teamwork skills; dependable, organized, detail oriented, and able to adapt quickly.
