Key Responsibilities

  • •Take end-to-end ownership of the backend platform, including AWS servers and database infrastructure supporting client-facing APIs.
  • •Integrate AI-powered solutions into core products by building and refining agent workflows, context, and tooling.
  • •Make architectural and design decisions, breaking complex features into releasable components.
  • •Design and implement backend products in PHP and Laravel using OpenAPI specifications and domain-driven service/repository architectures.
  • •Build and enhance internal backend systems in Python, including AWS Lambda microservices, and maintain production AWS infrastructure with Terraform.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years building, operating, and scaling backend systems in production environments.
  • •Deep proficiency in PHP (ideally Laravel) and working proficiency in Python.

  • •Experience with event-driven, queue-based architectures using AWS SQS.
