Job Summary

Safely collect and test soils, aggregates, and asphalt materials, ensuring accurate analysis, reporting, and documentation of results. Operate and maintain nuclear density gauges for asphalt and soils compaction, perform asphalt coring operations as needed, and maintain daily test records and reports for project teams. Follow DOT/specification requirements and comply with MSHA and OSHA regulations while maintaining a clean lab environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Safely and efficiently collect samples for testing asphalt materials.
•Set up, operate, and maintain nuclear density gauges for asphalt and soils compaction.
•Perform sampling, testing, and reporting procedures according to established protocol and accurately record results.
•Maintain daily records of test results and prepare daily reports for the project lead technician or main lab supervisor.
•Follow MSHA and OSHA regulations and company policies to support safe working procedures and environmental best practices.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED preferred.
•1 to 2 years of prior QC experience preferred.
•Must be 18 years or older.

•Ability to type/use keyboards accurately and have knowledge of database software.
