Key Responsibilities

  • •Review and design transmission line plan and profile drawings using PLS-CADD to meet client standards and NESC/other standards.
  • •Develop structure recommendations, insulation/A/C interference, static wire, grounding studies, and cross-section details.
  • •Assist in leading overall transmission line design for capital projects, including routing and right-of-way strategy decisions.
  • •Develop technical specifications, QA/QC procedures, deliverable templates, and other materials to improve efficiency.
  • •Review construction design documents and interpret geotechnical reports to support foundation design using required software tools.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related degree.
  • •At least 1+ years of post-education experience, preferably in transmission line design up to 115 kV HVAC.
  • •Knowledge of codes and standards such as NESC, AISC, IEEE, and ANSI.
  • •Finite element modeling experience using PLS-CADD/PLS CADD, POLE, and TOWER, plus experience with MFAD, HFAD, L-PILE, AutoCAD, and MicroStation (PSCAD is a plus).
  • •Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking/problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated focus on workplace safety.
