Job Summary

Lead a board support package (BSP) embedded software engineering team focused on defense products. You’ll manage, mentor, and grow engineers, drive engineering excellence across the software lifecycle, and help balance cost and schedule using earned value management. Collaborate with program managers and leaders across software, FOGA, hardware, and systems design, while contributing technical input to pursuit and proposal efforts.

•Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team, including hiring, staffing, mentoring, and performance feedback.
•Drive development of board support package (BSP) software solutions that meet customer needs and align with product line strategy.
•Collaborate across functions to deliver BSP software and build cross-functional relationships with engineering leaders and program managers.
•Manage staffing and program execution across multiple programs to meet cost, schedule, and technical performance goals using earned value management.
•Support business growth through technical expertise in pursuit and proposal efforts, and ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

•STEM degree and 10+ years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 7+ years experience.
•Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance required prior to start date.
•5+ years of experience leading engineering teams, including mentoring and task delegation in a technical development environment.
•Program execution experience including bidding, project planning, Earned Value Management (EVM), and risk/opportunity management.
•5+ years experience with embedded software development and experience with embedded operating systems using Linux, Green Hills Integrity, VxWorks, and/or LynxOS.
