Job Summary

Act as a credit risk analyst evaluating financial condition, collateral, and credit programs for prospective and renewal customers. You’ll forecast financials, assess GAAP statements, and support underwriters with collateral strategy in a hybrid, US-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Analyze, interpret and forecast the financial condition of prospective and renewal customers while determining a financial rating and generating a detailed financial narrative.
•Evaluate loss sensitive exposures, set collateral requirements, participate in market-facing quotation process, assist in setting program structure and negotiation of collateral.
•Provide knowledge of credit services to underwriters, brokers and customers (including Regulatory reasoning and acceptable forms of collateral, strategy on how collateral is used to protect and compliment loss sensitive programs and how bankruptcy/legal implications impact the credit risk of customers).
•Additional project work as needed (prior examples include best practice assignments, support for financial rating tools, collateral model and process automation).
•Processing of collateral documents and maintaining the integrity of our collateral database system.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 60,000 - 118,700 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's Degree or higher, OR High School Diploma with 2+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance; Zurich Finance Development Program or Zurich Apprentice paths also acceptable
•Knowledge of US GAAP financial statements, supporting notes, management reports, forecasts, and external information
•Understanding of industry analysis, macroeconomic influences and external credit rating agency opinions
•Strong verbal and written communication skills; MS Office proficiency
•Preferred: Insurance industry experience; MBA/CPA/CPCU/CFA/CTP credentials are a plus
