Senior Supplier Quality Engineer responsible for defining and executing processes to deliver high-quality castings and assemblies for defense programs. Key Responsibilities

•Partner with design teams to support design development, provide manufacturability feedback, and generate product data for composite assemblies to achieve supplier quality success.
•Leverage casting and welding process knowledge to support design and scale designs for volume production, including leadership on technical risks, prototypes, and concepts.
•Drive supplier quality development throughout product development with design reviews, supplier process development, testing, and qualification for components and sub-assemblies.
•Collaborate with development engineering, product quality engineering, sourcing engineering, category management and program management to deliver predictable supply and manage deviations during development and production.
•Drive supplier quality readiness by analyzing key characteristics, developing measurement systems, and executing supplier qualification activities (PPAP, FAIR, audits, inspection development).

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy or similar technical field.
•Experience with producing castings and mechanical assemblies for maritime, aerospace, or space applications from sand, investment or die casting.
•Experience in scaling supplier capabilities from prototype to high-rate production and performing source inspections at suppliers.
•Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001-based QMS requirements; AS9100 Lead/Internal Auditor certification or equivalent is a plus.
•Experience with First Article Inspection to AS9102 and ensuring suppliers have control plans and inspection processes capable of meeting product requirements.
