Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain and continuously develop safety skills and habits to keep safe; demonstrate strong safety leadership.
  • •Support Mine Engineering group and may rotate roles to assist in daily activities.
  • •Contribute to Ore control improvement initiatives and support ore control team with daily activities (bench reconciliation, ore cuts, stockpile management).
  • •Conduct pit wall mapping and geological interpretation and assist in weekly projection model updates and month-end reconciliation.
  • •Assist in planning, execution and reporting of infill drilling programs and support Near Mine Exploration projects.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 102,700 - 128,300 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Degree or similar education in Geology/Geological Engineering; eligible to register as a P.Geo with Engineers & Geoscientists British Columbia
  • •4+ years open pit mine experience is preferred
  • •Possess and maintain a valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • •Geological experience mapping and logging of porphyry or similar deposit types would be an asset
  • •Experience with Microsoft Office, Mineplan, Datashed, Leapfrog Geo and Wenco would be an asset
