Key Responsibilities

  • •Adhere to applicable Zambian laws and company requirements for safety, health, environment, quality, and finance/human resources.
  • •Monitor and control processing plant parameters to exceed KPI targets for throughput, recovery, and product quality.
  • •Coordinate real-time plant feed rate and ore quality with mining operations to optimize plant control response.
  • •Ensure equipment operation within defined strategies and procedures, maintaining utilization of the plant expert control system and critical control loops.
  • •Oversee shift leadership of field processing supervisors and control room operators; execute daily operating instructions, manage alarm/plant control standards, and produce detailed handovers and shift performance reports.

Key Requirements

  • •Diploma/Degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering.
  • •5–10 years of concentrator plant experience.
  • •At least 2 years of experience in a control room operations role.
  • •Prior exposure to mine-to-mill and wet processing areas including crushing, SAG/Ball Milling, flotation, thickening, tailings handling, and process water systems.
  • •Ability to interpret SCADA trends, alarms and interlocks, and use Excel and PI Vision for troubleshooting.
