Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate and perform laminating, trimming and assembly of composite materials, including carbon fibre and fibreglass repairs.
  • •Operate workshop machines and hand tools and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals.
  • •Document all work performed and maintain accurate records; access maintenance records as required.
  • •Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output.
  • •Ensure all repairs are correctly certified and records maintained.

Key Requirements

  • •Working knowledge and experience of laminating, trimming and assembly of composite materials, including carbon fibre and fibreglass wet layups, vacuum bagging, and related processes.
  • •Competency to operate workshop machines and hand tools.
  • •Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings, technical manuals, and work instructions.
  • •Functional IT skills to access technical information and maintenance records.
  • •Recognised qualification such as a BTEC or NVQ (or equivalent) in advanced composite repairs.
