Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide safe, efficient and reliable mechanical engineering services to the Maintenance & Engineering department.
  • •Coordinate resources and technical support by using the work order system and managing equipment supply and availability.
  • •Manage conveyor install and design, including technical specifications, procedures, and material/services requirements to meet compliance obligations.
  • •Coordinate conveyor overhauls and installations to meet the mine schedule, and develop project schedules for installs, retrieval, and overhauls.
  • •Identify root causes of downtime, accidents, and non-compliances and assist with implementation of remedial actions while ensuring compliance with safety and operating systems.

Key Requirements

  • •Mechanical trade qualification essential or higher tertiary education desirable.
  • •Previous experience in conveyor system design.
  • •Previous experience in a mining maintenance role (preferably coal) or heavy industry.
  • •Demonstrated experience leading a team of professionals to deliver against set targets.
  • •Computer literacy in CAD manipulation essential.
