Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the screed on an asphalt paver and adjust settings to achieve proper depth, grade, and finished cross-section.
  • •Add or remove screed extensions and perform other related duties as needed.
  • •Maintain and service equipment (oil, grease, servicing) and make normal operating adjustments.
  • •Occasionally operate other paving equipment such as power broom, plate compactor, paving machine, shuttle buggy, and/or vibratory roller.
  • •Assist foreperson/crew members and complete miscellaneous duties as assigned while adhering to safety procedures and OSHA/MSHA regulations.
