Key Responsibilities

•Design, build, and iterate on AI agents that interact with data across BigCommerce and partner ecosystems to drive automation.
•Connect agents to MCP servers so they can access backend systems (APIs, databases) and surface capabilities for user experiences.
•Build AI agents that interpret user intent to support store management actions by calling necessary APIs.
•Develop and integrate AI assistant features into the BigCommerce control panel for natural language queries and actions.
•Collaborate with product designers and NLP experts to deliver intuitive conversational experiences and build proof-of-concepts quickly.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 95,000 - 160,000 annually

Key Requirements

•3+ years of backend or full-stack software development experience, ideally focused on AI/MCP/A2A systems.
•BS or higher degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
•Strong programming skills in Go.
•Experience working with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic) and building agentic AI applications.
•Understanding of prompt engineering concepts and RESTful APIs/data integration across systems.
