Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and scale highly available, scalable microservices that form the backbone of SAP’s Business Technology Platform.
  • •Architect and implement a central API gateway for massive-scale traffic, security policies, and observability.
  • •Enhance core Kubernetes infrastructure to support fast, reliable deployments for developers using SAP Business Application Studio.
  • •Adopt a “you build it, you run it” model, including initial code, deployment, and participating in on-call rotations for 24/7 reliability.
  • •Mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, and establish best practices to elevate the team’s technical capabilities.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Computer Science or related field and 5+ years of professional experience in backend or platform engineering.
  • •Expertise in an object-oriented language such as Go (Golang), C++, Java, or Node.js (Go preferred).
  • •Hands-on experience with cloud-native paradigms, including container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • •Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins (or similar).
  • •Proficiency with monitoring and observability for distributed systems (e.g., Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, or Dynatrace).
