Senior Technical Writer with Insurance/InsurTech focus to produce developer- and user-facing documentation for insurance product suites (Commissions Copilot, Contracting, AgentCRM). Collaborates with product, engineering, and solutions teams to translate complex concepts into clear, structured docs, APIs, data models, and integration guides in a Docs-as-Code environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Apply working knowledge of insurance distribution workflows (producer contracting, commissions, hierarchy structures, carrier credentialing) to produce documentation that is accurate, contextually relevant, and useful to insurance-industry end users and developers.
•Collaborate with the Insurance Product Owner and Solutions team to document vertical-specific features, data models, and integration patterns unique to the insurance space.
•Write, edit, and maintain developer-facing documentation including API documentation, integration guides, plugin documentation, developer tutorials & walkthroughs, technical workflows & concepts, and release notes.
•Read, interpret, and validate OpenAPI specifications (.yaml / .json).
•Partner with engineering teams to document new software features, API endpoints, data models, and error handling.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 125,000 - 145,000 annually

Key Requirements

•At least 5 years of technical writing experience focused on software or technical platforms.
•Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or Computer Science
•Proven experience documenting InsurTech or insurance-adjacent SaaS products in a regulated industry
•Experience writing API and developer documentation for SaaS, platform, or enterprise software products
•Strong understanding of the OpenAPI Specification
