Key Responsibilities

  • •Follow company procedures and established standards to prepare engineering deliverables from rough sketches.
  • •Utilize CAD and graphics skills to produce and maintain the standard of Civil/Structural drawings.
  • •Carry out full yellow line checking of Civil/Structural drawings to confirm correctness and compliance.
  • •Train and mentor less experienced designers within the Civil/Structural group.
  • •Support deliverables for typical Civil/Structural scope including steel pipe-racks, bridges, access stairs and platforms, buildings, reinforced concrete foundations and below ground structures, earthworks, roads, drainage, and occasional architectural work.

Key Requirements

  • •Higher (technical) education.
  • •5+ years of work experience in a civil/structural designer role.
  • •Proficient user of relevant software and calculation templates, including CAD software.
  • •Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards and competence in executing assigned tasks to them.
  • •Evidence of ability to guide and mentor others and create functional, cost-effective designs with little support.
