Job Summary

Drive Exabeam’s security R&D by translating attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures into high-fidelity detections and behavioral analytics for the New Scale Analytics Platform. Serve as a senior technical contributor across threat research, detection engineering, and analytics quality—leveraging Python automation and AI/LLMs to accelerate research workflows. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, AI, and Customer Success, mentor peers through technical reviews, and publish technical thought leadership to improve detection coverage and reduce false positives.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead threat research into emerging attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures across enterprise, cloud, identity, and SaaS environments.
•Design, develop, validate, and maintain high-fidelity detections, behavioral models, and analytics for the Exabeam platform.
•Serve as a subject matter expert to improve behavioral analytics quality, detection coverage, accuracy, and model performance.
•Apply AI and LLMs to improve security research workflows, detection development, testing, documentation, and content generation while maintaining quality and responsible use.
•Collaborate with Product, Engineering, AI, and Customer Success to translate threats into product capabilities and provide technical thought leadership (blogs, talks, whitepapers).

Key Requirements

•7+ years of cybersecurity experience with expertise in threat detection, security research, threat intelligence, detection engineering, and/or incident response.
•Proven technical leadership and mentoring/guidance for security research or engineering teams without requiring direct people-management responsibility.
•Deep understanding of attacker methodologies, including MITRE ATT&CK, identity attacks, endpoint threats, cloud attacks, insider threats, and lateral movement.
•Experience developing high-quality security detections, behavioral analytics/correlation rules, and detection content for enterprise security products.
•Hands-on Python and scripting experience for production-quality code and automation, plus ability to evaluate detection quality and reduce false positives.
