Job Summary

Join the R&D Server team to design and develop new and existing product capabilities for Smarsh’s AWS-based production environment. You’ll contribute to architecture design, code quality, performance optimization, and scalable system patterns, collaborating within an Agile Scrum team. Work with DevOps, QA, and Product to troubleshoot and improve services across diverse runtime environments, while sharing technical leadership and mentoring peers.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and develop new and existing product capabilities across a diverse set of technologies and architectures.
•Build, enhance, and maintain services in an AWS-based production environment using modern cloud-native tooling.
•Contribute to architecture design, code quality, performance optimization, and scalable system patterns.
•Collaborate in an Agile Scrum team while providing mentorship, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership.
•Participate in production troubleshooting, analysis, and improvements in diverse runtime environments, working with DevOps, QA, and Product teams.

Key Requirements

•At least 3 years of professional Java development experience (exceptional candidates with slightly less may be considered).
•Strong object-oriented programming skills and deep understanding of Java internals.
•Solid experience with software engineering principles including system design, architecture, and best coding practices.
•Hands-on experience with multi-threaded programming.
•DevOps-oriented mindset with exposure to CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments, and operational tooling.
