Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients admitted to the rehabilitation service.
  • •Develop individualized nutrition care plans based on patient goals, medical condition, and dietary requirements.
  • •Assess and manage patients at risk of malnutrition, dehydration, weight loss, and feeding difficulties.
  • •Provide enteral nutrition assessment and management (including PEG and nasogastric feeding where applicable) and support dysphagia care with Speech and Language Therapists.
  • •Monitor nutritional progress, modify interventions as required, and participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of nutritional care.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition and Dietetics, or equivalent recognized qualification.
  • •Current professional registration/licensure with the relevant regulatory authority (e.g., CORU, HCPC, DHA, DOH, or equivalent).
  • •Minimum 2-3 years of post-qualification clinical dietetic experience.
  • •Experience managing adult patients with complex medical conditions.
  • •Strong understanding of nutrition support, rehabilitation principles, and patient-centred care.
