Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a shop environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair diesel truck and bus equipment across electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, air conditioning, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Determine and source required parts, and interact with the Shop Parts Department to obtain parts for each job.
  • •Document findings and uploaded work photos, parts used, and results on Repair Orders (RO) using a company issued device and/or the Karmak application.
  • •Maintain shop safety and productivity by following organizational safety, health, environmental policies, and federal regulations (including OSHA, EPA, and DOT).

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • •Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Diesel Technician on medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair (or equivalent technical education/certifications/skills/experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform the required job duties.
  • •Complete required safety training and participate in company training.
  • •Must be able to pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and a DOT physical; a current DOT medical card with sufficient remaining validity may be submitted in lieu of a DOT physical.
