Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver customized Databricks training/bootcamp for up to 20 FEMA-OEHP staff already proficient in Databricks.
  • •Collaborate with stakeholders during a 2-month pre-planning phase to finalize curriculum, project goals, and integration requirements.
  • •Develop and administer initial and exit skills assessments and tailor tutoring and curriculum depth to participants.
  • •Deliver weekly virtual training mapped to project milestones, including two 1-hour 1-on-1 tutoring sessions per week per participant during the tutoring period.
  • •Guide participants through project-based learning to build solutions including vector search tools, Databricks-integrated data pipelines, and compliance-review models.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 175,000 - 195,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field with deep expertise in Databricks and experience developing or delivering technical training with 12 years (or commensurate experience).
  • •Deep, hands-on Databricks expertise including SQL and PySpark notebooks, Jobs/Workflows, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and MLflow.
  • •Experience implementing vector search within Databricks.
  • •Experience constructing and orchestrating data pipelines and integrating tools such as Data Factory.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain suitability/Public Trust.
