Job Summary

Advise Defence and energy sector clients on procurement and funding strategies aligned to Net Zero, supporting business case development and major infrastructure projects across the programme lifecycle. Contribute to strategic and commercial assessment of business challenges, develop and implement optimal solutions, and influence a wide range of stakeholders. Tailor advisory processes and support business generation through bids, communities of practice, and knowledge sharing, while being flexible to travel.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with Defence and energy sector clients to develop, implement, and optimize procurement and funding strategies aligned to Net Zero targets.
•Support business case development and major infrastructure development across different stages of the programme lifecycle, including public funding and/or private capital.
•Contribute to strategic and commercial assessment of business challenges and the development and implementation of optimal solutions.
•Engage and influence clients and stakeholders to successfully implement and realize business outcomes.
•Use established processes, tools, and systems to tailor advisory services, contribute to continuous improvement, and support business generation through bid proposals.

Key Requirements

•Must be able to attain UK MoD Security Clearance; British Nationals only need apply.
•Experience in government Greenbook business case development and the ability to write HMT Green Book Business across all five cases.
•Knowledge of economic benefit assessment including social value, community benefits, and low carbon transition.
•Experience working in Defence and/or public infrastructure, managing transactions/projects in public sector delivery settings.
•A degree or MBA (or equivalent experience) and familiarity with relevant UK policy guidance and governance processes for approvals.
