Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform perovskite device characterization, analysis, and root cause segmentation to quantify performance and identify underperformance reasons.
  • •Identify opportunities to improve solar cell performance and reliability, including methods and tools for performance/reliability characterization.
  • •Advance state-of-the-art perovskite solar cell characterization and statistical analysis, and execute experiments.
  • •Develop work plans for problems with unclear solution paths.
  • •Communicate findings to internal stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally; may train, mentor, and manage junior associates and ensure compliance with EHS policies.

Key Requirements

  • •Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in an engineering discipline or similar technical discipline, paired with relevant technical experience as described for the role.
  • •Strong understanding of semiconductor physics, optoelectronics, and photovoltaic device operation.
  • •Hands-on experience executing experiments in a laboratory or manufacturing environment.
  • •Experience with electro-optical device characterization techniques such as JV, EQE, PL, TRPL, transmission-reflection, and impedance spectroscopy.
  • •Strong materials analysis and statistical analysis skills (e.g., SIMS, SEM, EDS, GDOES) and problem-solving ability working independently and in teams.
