Job Summary

Own the technical governance and delivery of large-scale data center network infrastructure, defining architectural decisions and delivery standards across EVPN/VXLAN, core routing, security, Neutron routing, and load balancing. Serve as the primary technical authority across cross-organizational engagements, lead post-incident architectural improvements, and shape an operating model with automation and AI-assisted engineering practices. Mentor teams and manage third-party providers to ensure quality and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead technical governance of large-scale data center network infrastructure, owning architectural decisions and defining delivery standards across EVPN/VXLAN, routing, security, load balancing, and high-security modules.
•Drive end-to-end delivery of complex network infrastructure workstreams from design through operational handover within an agile delivery model.
•Act as primary technical authority for network infrastructure in cross-organizational engagements with SAP Product Engineering, Platform Engineering, and external stakeholders.
•Shape and continuously improve network delivery operating models, including tooling, automation, and AI-assisted engineering practices.
•Provide mentorship, manage third-party managed service providers, perform post-incident analysis to improve architecture and standards, and represent network delivery in technical forums.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of hands-on experience in data center network engineering with deep expertise in EVPN/VXLAN fabric, core routing, network security, Neutron routing, load balancing, and high-security modules.
•Proven experience as a technical authority owning architectural decisions, defining standards, and driving delivery outcomes across complex, multi-team programs.
•Strong technical project management skills with practical experience in agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban) and backlog-driven delivery at program scale.
•Experience leading engagements with third-party managed service providers, setting expectations and ensuring quality outcomes.
•Knowledge of SecNumCloud (or equivalent sovereign cloud security framework) for French cloud region work.
