Job Summary

Own commercial strategy and sourcing execution for complex indirect spend categories spanning professional and consulting services, staffing and labour, BPO, system integration, payments, workplace and facilities, insurance, and select marketing areas. Lead high-stakes negotiations with external providers, embed with senior stakeholders for commercial counsel, build category strategies, manage contract pipelines and renewals, and partner with Legal, Finance, and Risk to balance speed, value, and governance.

Key Responsibilities

•Own commercial strategy and sourcing execution across indirect spend categories, including professional/consulting services, staffing and labour, BPO, system integration, and related indirect categories such as marketing.
•Drive an initial 6–12 month groundwork phase involving operational volume and process clean-up, evolving from execution to more targeted strategic category work over time.
•Lead sophisticated negotiations with external providers, including consultancies, outsourcing partners, professional services firms, and contingent workforce suppliers, using clear positioning and leverage strategies.
•Embed with senior business stakeholders to understand strategic priorities, shape supplier decisions, and provide commercial counsel before commitments are made.
•Build and maintain category strategies, manage contract pipelines and renewal cycles, improve commercial terms through data-led analysis, and partner with Legal, Finance, and Risk to balance speed, value, and governance.

Key Requirements

•7+ years’ experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or a related commercial discipline, either as an indirect procurement generalist or with depth in relevant categories.
•Strong analytical and influencing skills to assess portfolios, identify the biggest opportunities, and build the case for prioritization.
•Ability to set up sourcing processes/playbooks from scratch and improve how a team operates beyond an existing model.
•Proven commercial instincts and measurable outcomes in complex, high-value negotiations, including building leverage and managing supplier dynamics.
•Experience operating at both strategic and executional levels, creating structure in ambiguous settings and delivering independent results.
