Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify patients by comparing patient information before venipuncture
  • •Perform venipunctures and skin punctures competently and expediently
  • •Use correct tube colors and blood volumes based on test requirements; assist clinical laboratory as needed
  • •Conduct blood collection activities including bleeding time tests, blood cultures, and specimen collection room upkeep
  • •Follow EHS requirements: PPE use, risk assessments, hazard/incident reporting, training, and safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials

Key Requirements

  • •Valid DOH License/Exam Passed as Phlebotomist
  • •Certificate of training in an approved phlebotomy program or Diploma (1 year) Medical Laboratory Technology, or a degree in a health-related field
  • •Minimum two (2) years practical experience as a Phlebotomist in a reputed medical laboratory
  • •Currently licensed in country of origin
  • •Fluent in spoken and written English (Arabic desirable)
