Job Summary

Software Engineer II in the ATS-SED group develops and maintains safety-critical air traffic management software. You will design, implement, test, and integrate software components across the lifecycle, participate in agile ceremonies, and collaborate with an integrated engineering team and external stakeholders to support civil and military aviation systems.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and maintain software packaged into our ATMS products
•Maintain documentation and work instructions needed to meet ATS SED’s software engineering standards
•Participate in the agile process including daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, back log grooming and story pointing
•Work with an integrated engineering team in a highly collaborative environment, requiring frequent multi-level communication with engineering team members, program management and external stakeholders
•Contribute to design, development, integration and testing of operational software components throughout the software development life-cycle

Key Requirements

•Requires a STEM degree and minimum 2 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
•Experience developing, integrating, testing and validating software components in a Unix/Linux environment
•Experience with the full software development lifecycle using Java or C/C++
•Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Podman, Kubernetes)
•Proficiency with Bash and Python
•U.S. citizenship is required to access information under these programs/contracts
