Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan, organize, and report on investigations according to professional standards, IOS guidelines, and relevant jurisprudence.
  • •Review and assess complaints and allegations; gather, review, analyze evidence, and conduct interviews of staff and other involved parties.
  • •Liaise with local officials, partners, and third parties, including obtaining internal support such as interpreters to facilitate investigative work.
  • •Assess investigation progress and provide input on probable impacts of outcomes relative to strategies, advising colleagues accordingly.
  • •Prepare complete investigation reports, case closure memoranda, briefings, and recommendations for corrective actions and improved controls.

Key Requirements

  • •First-level university degree in law, public administration, or a related field; a master’s-level degree is desirable.
  • •At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in investigations, including at least 3 years focused on public sector investigations.
  • •Demonstrated field experience investigating financial misconduct, abusive conduct, and sexual misconduct, including in developing countries.
  • •Demonstrated international exposure.
  • •Sound investigation skills, including report-writing and applying IT technology when needed, plus expert English knowledge.
