Job Summary

Develop FPGA designs and embedded firmware for an active aerospace/defense program, covering RTL development, simulation, implementation, verification, and hardware/software integration at the component and circuit-board level. You’ll build repeatable FPGA build/simulation workflows, perform circuit analysis and lab-based functional verification, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to document designs, test results, and code reviews.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop FPGA designs using VHDL/Verilog and support synthesis, implementation, and debug.
•Create and run simulation testbenches and perform functional verification in lab environments.
•Conduct circuit analysis and circuit simulation, including FPGA programming.
•Integrate firmware and hardware at the component and circuit-board level while troubleshooting system issues.
•Develop repeatable and automated FPGA build and simulation workflows and contribute to timely code reviews.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a degree in STEM and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
•Experience designing FPGA-based systems using VHDL and/or Verilog.
•Experience with FPGA development toolchains (e.g., Xilinx Vivado) for synthesis, implementation, and timing closure.
•Experience developing embedded Linux firmware using Yocto and AMD PetaLinux.
•Experience developing and executing simulation testbenches using ModelSim, QuestaSim, or equivalent tools.
