Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join Nuvei’s Finance team. You will oversee accounting and operations for a portfolio of group companies, ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance, drive month-end close, perform variance analysis, and build budgets/forecasts while delivering insights to management and supporting audits.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee accounting and operational activities for a portfolio of group companies
•Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting, maintaining compliance with local GAAP / IFRS and internal policies
•Support and actively participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes
•Perform variance analysis during the month-end close process
•Build and monitor budgets and forecasts for assigned entities; analyze and explain variances and trends (actuals vs. comparative periods, forecast/budget)
•Ensure compliance with tax filings and statutory reporting requirements
•Provide financial insights and ad-hoc support to management
•Prepare and deliver financial statements as requested
•Provide support during internal and external audits
•Identify gaps, monitor, and continuously improve internal controls, financial processes, policies, and procedures

Key Requirements

•University degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
•5+ years of relevant professional experience in accounting/controlling with strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (audit experience is a plus)
•Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
•Accountable and proactive, with a strong ownership mindset and commitment to delivering high-quality results
•Ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, and complex environment
