Job Summary

Oversee the day-to-day completion of civil construction projects focused on storm utility, dirt/earth work, and miscellaneous concrete work. Lead and coach laborers and equipment operators while maintaining a strong safety culture. Coordinate job-specific instructions with the Project Manager and Superintendent, read and follow plans/specifications, ensure proper compaction and quality, and maintain time/material records for daily job costing.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the crew in a safety culture and maintain a safe working environment.

•Supervise equipment operators and laborers to ensure work matches field layout and plans.
•Ensure proper compaction and quality of work; perform operator and laborer duties when necessary.

Key Requirements

•Multiple years of experience in excavation and grading with significant seat-time operating heavy machinery on civil construction projects.
•Read, interpret, and follow owner’s plans and specifications.

•Mathematical understanding to calculate grades, slopes, yields, etc.
•Related construction field experience; minimum 5 years preferred.
