Key Responsibilities

  • •Achieve daily production goals under supervision by supporting start-ups and routine production tasks.
  • •Follows safety and quality procedures; report safety hazards and out-of-spec product to the appropriate leads immediately.
  • •Maintain housekeeping standards and keep the work area neat and orderly; take on additional housekeeping duties as needed.
  • •Assist with equipment setup tasks such as threading equipment with film, starting up lines/extruders, and supporting roll/product changeovers.
  • •Participate in employee-driven teams addressing scrap, quality, and safety issues, and complete required operator training and assessments.

Key Requirements

  • •Follow company safety, quality, and attendance policies, including participating in safety programs and completing weekly safety card and monthly assessments.
  • •Perform routine quality checks by reading and verifying line orders and spec sheets, and report out-of-spec product immediately.
  • •Maintain a neat and orderly work area and meet plant and department housekeeping standards.
  • •Assist with extruder/line start-ups, including threading equipment with film and drawing tape as needed.
  • •Participate in and pass Annual Operator Training and cross-train across production areas (twist-tie, converting, and roll stock).
