Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor equipment in the Building Monitoring System Room and inform emergency calls to the relevant technician.
  • •Inspect fire/smoke detection and protection and warning systems quarterly, and maintain written inspection records.
  • •Inspect, test, and maintain fixed fire suppression systems and firefighting tools/equipment in full operational condition.
  • •Inspect fire extinguishers daily, replace portable extinguishers removed for servicing, and install extinguishers to meet travel-distance requirements.
  • •Conduct fire prevention inspections, provide fire and safety orientation for newly arrived hospital employees, and implement/respond to the Hospital “Code Red” procedure and emergency fire/safety calls.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum two (2) years’ experience in fire prevention and protection.
  • •Safety Technology college level or Technical Graduate is preferred.
  • •Fluency in verbal and written English.
  • •Computer literate.
  • •Experience managing safety program implementations and maintaining professionalism with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
