Job Summary

Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring they are robust, cost-effective, and stable using Lean principles, Process Control Plans, and PFMEA. Specify, qualify, and install new equipment with suppliers while meeting safety and regulatory standards. Coordinate process development data in PLM systems, support trials and capability studies, and produce Safe Systems of Work. Communicate process performance and KPIs to stakeholders within the Warhead Development team.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and optimise existing and new manufacturing processes in line with engineering plans and budgets, ensuring they are robust, timely, cost-effective, and meet customer expectations.
•Apply industry-standard controls (Lean principles, Process Control Plans, PFMEA) to maintain long-term process stability, including familiarity with automated line controls.
•Specify, qualify, and install new equipment, often working with suppliers, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
•Coordinate development activities and manage process data within PLM systems, including trials data, process definitions, and certification and safety data.
•Support project activities through process reviews and capability studies, generate Safe Systems of Work, and present process status, KPIs, and performance to stakeholders.

Salary: GBP 45,177 annually

Key Requirements

•A minimum HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
•Strong technical and manufacturing background with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
•Experience in materials processing.
•Ability to prioritise a constantly varying workload while maintaining high quality standards and meeting deadlines.
•IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH Certificate experience would be advantageous.
