Job Summary

Lead and shape infrastructure planning and consenting for major projects across energy, renewables, nuclear, water, rail and transportation sectors. Provide technical leadership, coordinate consent processes (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs) and act as Project Director within the Infrastructure Planning team. Engage with clients, stakeholders and statutory bodies, and mentor colleagues while ensuring robust planning strategies and financial awareness.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the town planning or consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs etc).
•Provide technical leadership and advice to clients, managing their consenting requirements and expectations.
•Coordinate the preparation and submission of consent applications under relevant acts and regimes.
•Act as Project Director for Infrastructure Planning projects when required.
•Act as Planning Expert Witness at examinations or hearings and inquiries.

Key Requirements

•Degree-level qualification in town planning (or equivalent).
•Member of the RTPI.
•Experience leading town planning or consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs, etc).
•Experience coordinating the preparation and submission of consent applications under Town and Country Planning Acts, Planning Act 2008 or other regimes.
•Strong project management and financial understanding, ideally within a consultancy environment.
•Line management / mentoring of colleagues.
