Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide full breadth Child and Youth Behavioral (CYB) non-medical, short-term, solution-focused counseling services to children and youth of service members and their families.
  • •Deliver assessments, brief counseling and consultation, action planning, referrals with linkage, and follow-up as indicated at assigned school and community locations.
  • •Support DoDEA and community school staff and youth programs (including summer camps if assigned), and provide parent training and guidance.
  • •Conduct training and health and wellness presentations, participate in health fairs and base/installation activities, and enter counselor activity data daily via smartphone or web application.
  • •Follow DoD duty-to-warn and restricted reporting protocols, coordinate with Points of Contact (POC) and supervisors, participate in supervision and training, and respond to critical incidents and urgent requests.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 59,922 - 100,280 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s Degree from an accredited Graduate Program in a Mental Health related field.
  • •Valid unrestricted independent counseling license in a state, District of Columbia, US Territory, or Commonwealth that grants authority to provide counseling as an independent practitioner.
  • •Minimum two years of post-licensure clinical experience.
  • •Demonstrate intermediate-level technology competencies (Microsoft Suite, internet navigation, smartphone/tablet and app navigation, video-conferencing platform navigation).
  • •Ability to prove US citizenship and pass CNACI clearance, an Installation Records Check (IRC), criminal history background check, and FBI fingerprints check.
