Key Responsibilities

  • •Review and approve suppliers’ systems for chemical and metallurgical process control.
  • •Conduct product and process reviews/audits and approve suppliers’ metallurgical and chemical processes.
  • •Participate in chemical/metallurgical issues and investigations at suppliers that could impact Pratt & Whitney.
  • •Conduct training at suppliers on Pratt & Whitney quality material control system requirements.
  • •Support non-conformance documentation and root-cause corrective action investigations, partnering with business units to improve supplier quality.
Travel: High travel

Key Requirements

  • •B.S. degree in Materials, Metallurgy, or another Engineering discipline.
  • •Proficiency in all aspects of the Laboratory Control at Source (LCS) system.
  • •Knowledge of chemical and metallurgical processes (e.g., laser machining, electro-discharge machining, electro-chemical grinding, brazing, coatings, welding, heat treatment, forging).
  • •Experience with product integrity and quality control, including surveillance of suppliers’ quality systems.
  • •Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interface with employees at suppliers.
