Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions; use road testing to verify repairs.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and maintain the company-issued service truck, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document work on Repair Orders and DOT forms, uploading pictures and findings using a company-issued iOS device and the TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in a related field (or other related-equivalent combinations).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • •Be able to complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
  • •Maintain a current and valid DOT medical card (or DOT physical if the card has four months or less remaining).
