Key Responsibilities

  • •Own printed circuit board (PCB) designs from conception through manufacturing.
  • •Create PCB, circuit card assembly (CCA), and schematic drawings for suppliers.
  • •Perform schematic capture, component placement, trace routing, and generate Gerber/ODB++ manufacturing files.
  • •Develop PCB layouts including rigid, flex, and rigid-flex assemblies, handling design updates, re-spins, and change notices.
  • •Coordinate daily with multiple engineering disciplines to capture design requirements while considering cost, cycle time, and producibility.

Key Requirements

  • •Typically requires a Bachelor’s in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • •Minimum 8 years of experience including at least two areas: PCB/CCA manufacturing principles affecting circuitry and component layout.
  • •Electrical design process experience and the ability to lay out rigid, flex, or rigid-flex boards.
  • •Hands-on PCB design tool skills using Siemens design toolsets (e.g., Xpedition Layout suite with schematic capture, placement, routing, auto-router, constraint manager, and library tools) and BluePrint to create complex PCB/CCA drawings.
