Key Responsibilities

  • •Optimize the gas portfolio to capture trading opportunities and monitor risk as part of the wholesale desk.
  • •Transact physical gas, transport, storage, and financial basis; develop trade recommendations to enhance portfolio returns.
  • •Identify trading opportunities from books, sales-trading flow, and market movements; quote competitive daily prices.
  • •Work with mid-office for daily reconciliation and with risk for updated VAR monitoring.
  • •Stay engaged with market participants and provide market intelligence and insights to senior management for planning and forecasting.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 170,000 - 205,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in natural gas trading, managing term physical and financial positions related to transportation and storage.
  • •Prior natural gas trading experience with expertise in fundamental analysis, risk management, and market pricing.
  • •Experience pricing structured, non-standard contracts in energy markets.
  • •Strong knowledge of gas fundamentals and market rules/structure, including ability to assess mathematical derivative pricing models.
  • •Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and trading platforms/financial modeling tools (e.g., Dayzer), plus experience with ETRM systems.
