Key Responsibilities

•Maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty mobile equipment safely and efficiently.
•Use diagnostic tools, manuals, and technical knowledge to identify mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues and determine repairs.
•Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, adjustments, and component replacements to support reliability and reduce downtime.
•Follow company safety standards, regulatory requirements, lockout procedures, and safe work practices in an industrial environment.
•Complete work orders and maintenance records, parts requests, and related documentation accurately and on time.

Key Requirements

•Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification or an Interprovincial/Provincial Certificate of Qualification (or equivalent Canadian trade certification).
•Previous experience maintaining and repairing heavy-duty mobile equipment in an industrial, forestry, mining, construction, transportation, or manufacturing environment.
•Strong troubleshooting skills with practical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, drivetrains, electrical systems, and computerized diagnostic tools.
•A strong commitment to safety, including the ability to follow lockout procedures, safe work practices, and regulatory requirements in a mill environment.
•A valid driver’s licence, physical ability to perform the role, and flexibility to support overtime or shift coverage when required.
