Job Summary

Own a portfolio of Trade Credit client accounts by building client risk profiles, shaping insurance programmes, and driving renewals through documentation, tender activity (where applicable), and fee negotiations. Lead and develop day-to-day client relationships for high-premium clients, coordinate client service teams, and maintain satisfaction, retention, revenue, and profitability. Provide technical advice and training within the specialty, while upholding compliant client dealings and spotting new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver the business unit/specialty plan aligned with Aon South Africa strategy.
•Lead, develop, and improve day-to-day client relationships for high-premium clients within the scheme.
•Manage a portfolio of client accounts, building client profiles of risks and needs analysis, and structure insurance programmes to meet client needs.
•Lead or contribute to renewal meetings, tender processes (where applicable), and fee negotiation to maintain satisfaction, retention, revenue, and profitability.
•Coordinate client service teams, manage client financials, provide technical advice and training, and support development of new business opportunities while ensuring compliant dealings with clients.

Key Requirements

•Minimum Grade 12 (or equivalent) and a Bachelor’s degree is preferable.
•Must be registered as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act.
•Must be registered as an associate with the IISA Knowledge.
•Excellent knowledge of Trade Credit policy wordings and extensive knowledge of South African and international short-term insurance markets for credit.
•Digital literacy in MS Word and Excel, with a solid understanding of risk management methodologies and knowledge of underwriting and claims administration/management in the trade credit space.
