Job Summary

Provide 24x7 L2/L3 production support for Life Insurance applications running on a z/VSE mainframe platform. Lead incident triage and resolution, ensure SLA compliance, and support critical batch and online processing (job monitoring, restarts/reruns, abend resolution, and data corrections). Use ITSM tooling like ServiceNow and Jira to manage incidents, problems, changes, and releases, while maintaining runbooks/SOPs and guiding cross-functional teams during high-severity events.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide L2/L3 production support for AIL mainframe insurance applications and ensure 24x7 stability and operational excellence.
•Monitor and ensure successful completion of daily/weekly/monthly batch cycles and support batch cycle execution (monitoring, restarts, reruns, and data corrections).
•Perform abend analysis, troubleshoot production issues, execute production recovery activities, and coordinate with Application Build teams for permanent fixes.
•Manage incidents, problems, and changes using ServiceNow and Jira, including change/release/deployment activities and production readiness checks.
•Maintain and enhance runbooks/SOPs and support operational improvements, documentation, and audit/compliance reporting requirements.

Key Requirements

•10+ years of L2/L3 mainframe production support experience for mission-critical applications in a 24x7, SLA-driven environment.
•Hands-on experience supporting z/VSE and/or z/OS and mainframe technologies including Assembler, Easytrieve, COBOL, CICS, JCL, and VSAM.
•Proven expertise in batch operations support such as job monitoring, restarts, reruns, abend resolution, and data corrections.
•Experience using ITSM tools (ServiceNow and Jira) with knowledge of ITIL-based Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management.
•Strong communication and stakeholder coordination, including leadership during high-severity P1/P2 incidents.
