Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform all electrical duties required at journey level to maintain power plant equipment.
  • •Inspect, test, repair, and install electrical equipment (e.g., motors, generators, breakers, batteries, lighting) and electronic equipment (e.g., annunciators, recorders, communications systems, UPS, battery chargers).
  • •Build cable and raceway systems, install conduit, pull and route control/power cables, and terminate cables while checking continuity and accuracy.
  • •Conduct low, medium, and high voltage switching, clearing, and grounding activities for plant auxiliary equipment.
  • •Locate, analyze, and correct malfunctions; keep inspection/overhaul records and use maintenance planning tools in support of electrical and electronic work.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum three years experience working as an electrician in a related industry (prefer 48 months in electrical maintenance with power plant experience).
  • •Must successfully complete/pass the POSS/MASS aptitude test.
  • •High school education or GED equivalent.
  • •Working knowledge of mathematics and physics; ability to exercise care when working with small and precision parts.
  • •Basic computer skills and ability to use hand tools and other various tools.
