Build and lead 1Password’s developer community engagement strategy across social platforms, online repositories, and in-person moments. You’ll work as an individual contributor with Customer Success, Engineering, and social teams to foster awareness and adoption of developer tools through technical depth and authentic communication. Responsibilities include organizing events and async initiatives, synthesizing feedback into actionable insights for product teams, and nurturing community health via Slack, GitHub, and public channels.

Key Responsibilities

•Engage in public technical conversations to generate awareness and adoption of 1Password developer tools, including enabling other 1Password employees to participate.
•Create welcoming developer community spaces to gather and connect, including in community Slack, on GitHub, and via social media.
•Synthesize community and partner feedback into actionable insights and surface them to product teams.
•Nucleate and scale communities by building tools and training for other employees (e.g., talk templates and engagement guidelines).
•Celebrate and reinforce community engagement by building programs, reusing assets for evergreen outreach, and highlighting documentation and tutorials.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 133,000 - 186,000 annually

Key Requirements

•5+ years in technical roles (software/platform engineering, community management, support, or solution engineering) and comfort with modern development workflows and patterns.
•Proven experience engaging in sensitive, complex community situations with humility, empathy, judgment, tact, and humor.
•Strong written and verbal communication; able to communicate clearly and kindly on social media and skillfully on GitHub and in project trackers.
•Proven experience organizing in-person and online events, asynchronous projects, and long-running cross-functional efforts, with attention to dependencies and attendee experience.
•Experience listening to technical conversations for insights and requests, turning them into actionable feedback and advocating for implementation within the organization.
