Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform “Auxiliary Operator” duties, including assisting with starting, operating, and stopping the plant and responding to abnormal/emergency conditions while meeting safety and environmental requirements.
  • •Continuously monitor system and component conditions to determine plant and equipment performance and report anomalies to the Control Room Operator, Maintenance, or Direct Manager.
  • •Operate plant equipment to meet dispatch requirements and assist in acceptance/performance testing for plant equipment.
  • •Adjust control systems to regulate load on the gas turbines and maintain proper operating conditions.
  • •Perform basic mechanical maintenance and routine tasks such as preventive/predictive maintenance, replacing parts, repacking bearings, and maintaining equipment files/logs and working locations.

Key Requirements

  • •High school graduate or equivalent, plus trade school and/or technical training (including related military training).
