Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and in a timely manner, obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading/unloading areas, following loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment as needed and arranging trailers for optimal loading patterns.
  • •Maintain delivery documentation (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and perform routine service such as checking fluids; report maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license depending on state, appropriate for the vehicle weight.
  • •Must pass DOT physical and background and drug testing required by federal/state DOT regulations, including a 10-panel drug screen for this safety-sensitive role.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Ability to remain focused in a busy environment and speak professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and travel frequently; ability to sit for prolonged periods in a trailer cab.
