Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct inspections on wheeled vehicles and trailers during turn-in to verify condition, serviceability, and compliance with Army standards.
  • •Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fuel, and brake system malfunctions and determine repair needs.
  • •Perform PMCS and corrective/preventive maintenance on engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, electrical, and braking systems.
  • •Recommend condition codes and identify vehicles beyond economical repair for turn-in or disposal.
  • •Record findings, repairs, and maintenance actions on DA Form 2404/DA Form 5988-E or automated maintenance records and maintain maintenance logs in ISO 9001:2015 QMS compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •3–5 years of experience in motor vehicle maintenance (Army tactical/non-tactical vehicle experience strongly preferred).
  • •Familiarity with U.S. Army maintenance procedures, PMCS, and TMs.
  • •Ability to diagnose and repair vehicle mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • •Ability to read and interpret Army TMs, schematics, and diagrams.
  • •Must have a valid driver’s license with proof of vehicle insurance; must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
