Job Summary

Lead and manage delivery of building structural engineering projects across multiple sectors, providing technical leadership from concept through construction. Review and approve structural calculations, drawings, and reports while ensuring Eurocode-aligned, high-quality QA/QC outputs. Manage project scope, programmes, budgets, risks, and change control, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and represent the business with clients. Mentor engineers and support growth of the structures team using digital engineering tools including Revit and Tekla workflows.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead structural design for medium to large building projects using Eurocodes and UK best practices, driving innovative, safe, and sustainable solutions.
•Provide high-level technical review and approval of structural calculations, drawings, and reports while ensuring QA/QC compliance and project standards.
•Manage the full project lifecycle from concept to construction, including scopes, deliverables, programmes, fee proposals, and monitoring budgets, risks, and change control.
•Oversee digital engineering tools and BIM-enabled workflows (Revit, Tekla structural BIM workflows) and ensure timely delivery of design information to clients and contractors.
•Mentor and develop engineers and graduates, lead resource planning and workload distribution, and represent the business in client meetings and design reviews.

Key Requirements

•Chartered Engineer IStructE (highly desirable) or with ICE.
•BEng/MEng/MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering.
•Typically 15+ years of experience in building structure design and delivery.
•Proven track record leading UK-based multidisciplinary building projects with client-facing roles and team leadership.
•Strong communication and stakeholder management, problem-solving, and commercial awareness of project financials.
