•Collaborate on high-impact projects with partnered AI labs and platforms; design complex, domain-specific problems and datasets to rigorously evaluate AI models and provide expert insights that improve accuracy, reasoning, and performance
•Engage with the HFC community as part of an interdisciplinary network of researchers and thought leaders advancing frontier AI across domains
•Co-author technical reports and research papers with Scale’s research team to boost academic visibility and professional recognition
•Contribute to the evaluation and interpretation of advanced generative AI systems and datasets
•Manage flexible scheduling and balance multiple projects across platforms and collaborators

Key Requirements

•5+ years of software engineering or related technical experience (or equivalent academic experience such as PhD, postdoctoral research, or faculty work in CS)
•Demonstrated coding proficiency and analytical abilities with deep expertise in one or more of the following languages: Python, Java, Rust, Swift, JavaScript, or C++
•Detail-oriented, innovative mindset with a passion for applied AI research and collaboration
•Authorized to work in the country you reside in
•Strong collaboration and communication skills (team-oriented environment)
